Breath Switch

Privacy policy

Effective 17 October 2026

Breath Switch: Stress Relief is a nostril breathing app for Android made by Marko Zanoski. This policy explains what the app does with your data. The short version: the app sends nothing anywhere. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no server of ours, and the app does not use the internet at all.

What stays on your phone

  • Your settings. Your choices in the app, such as the reminder time, your work hours and work days, kept in the app's own storage so the app remembers them.
  • Your session history. A simple record of the sessions you finish, such as the date, the pattern and how long it lasted, so you can look back on your practice.

That is all the app keeps, and it never leaves your phone. The app does not record your breath, your voice or your body. If Android backup is turned on for your phone, Android may include these settings and your history in your own Google account backup, under Google's privacy policy, so they come back on a new phone. We cannot see that backup.

What leaves your phone

Nothing is sent by the app. It does not ask for internet access, so it cannot send anything anywhere. It works fully offline.

Permissions

The app asks for three small things, and nothing else.

  • Notifications. Only for the daily reminder and the workday nudges (calm check ins and a deep focus call in the work hours you set), each off until you turn it on. On Android 13 and newer, Android asks you to allow notifications when you do. You can say no and still use every session.
  • Run at startup. The reminder and the workday nudges are alarms kept and scheduled on your phone by Android. After your phone restarts, the app sets those alarms again so they still come at the times you chose. No server is involved.
  • Vibration. For the soft tick on each change of breath, when you turn haptics on.

The app does not ask for internet access, location, camera, microphone, contacts or health data.

What we do not do

  • No accounts and no sign in.
  • No ads and no advertising identifiers.
  • No analytics, crash reporting or tracking libraries.
  • No health, fitness or location data, and no camera or microphone.
  • No selling or sharing of data, because we do not collect any.

Payments

Breath Switch is bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy. We receive no card details and no personal data from that purchase beyond what Google Play shows every developer in aggregate sales reports.

This website

This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no outside fonts or scripts. The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps short server logs to run and protect the service.

Children

Breath Switch is a general audience app and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal data from anyone.

Deleting your data

Everything Breath Switch keeps is on your phone. To remove it, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. There is nothing on our side to delete.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
